GInI’s Certified Future Shaping Professional (CFSP) is GInI’s recognition of leaders and professionals who havedemonstrated an advanced knowledge and understanding of the key practices, processes, methods, andstructures of Future Shaping, which marries the strategic activities of Strategic Foresight and Strategic Futuringto very specific and explicit organizational goals.

CFSP certification affirms these individuals proficiency in the Future Shaping body of knowledge, which involves:the mindset and philosophy of Future Shaping, its origins in Futures Studies, its direct application of StrategicForesight and Strategic Futuring practices, all of the core concepts underlying it, the specific processes andpractices used to undertake it, the specific roles needed to execute it properly, the large body of methods usedto facilitate it, the ultimate strategic outcomes it produces for an organization, and how to properlyinstitutionalize it within an organization.

Obtaining

Step 1- Meet the exam eligibility requirements:

To be eligible to register for the CFSP exam, an individual must meet ONE of the following criteria:

A minimum of one year of professional experience with a Master’s degree or higher.
A minimum of two years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of four years of professional experience with less than a Bachelor’s degree.

In addition, the individual must show proof of ownership of the GInI Applied Innovation Master Book®.

Step 2- Choose your Learning Path:

At GInI, we provide two comprehensive learning options to cater to your preferences:

Self-Study: Upon acquiring your copy of the AFSMB, you can seamlessly prepare for the examination at yourown preferred pace.
Instructor-Led Learning: Opt for additional guidance by enrolling in a course delivered by one of ourauthorized providers in your region.

Step 3- Apply for and pass the CFSP exam:

The CFSP is a 120-minute exam with 120 multiple-choice questions and a passing score of 65%.

Maintaining

To maintain your CFSP Certification, you must earn 45 Innovation Development Units (IDUs) every three years,or retake the CFSP® exam Detailed information can be found under Maintain Your Certificate.
